Overview

The Compliance Department protects the Bank by advising on ethical conduct, identifying regulatory solutions, safeguarding integrity and reputation, and promoting, in partnership with the business, a culture of Compliance. Given the increasing regulatory scrutiny and the need to implement a robust and globally consistent control framework, an effective Global Surveillance program is a key component to the Department’s success.

The Compliance Surveillance division is looking for a Communication/Voice Surveillance VP which will be responsible for Supervising and coordinating the surveillance of electronic and voice communications of Deutsche Bank Employees subject to Communications review   

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and administer guidance to the staff to ensure adherence to process and escalations
  • Ensure that the review process is complete, accurate and appropriate
  • Work with other global team leads to ensure consistency in the process
  • Prepare reports and presentations based on results from the weekly MI
  • Establish additional processes to ensure all product coverage is maximized
  • Perform weekly QA
  • Respond to audit actions/deliverables
  • Review Key Ops and Policy to ensure consistency and Completion
  • Engage with third party vendors when necessary
  • Engage with Legal, Senior Compliance Surveillance, Business Line Advisory, as well as the Business on correspondence that requires escalation and further review
  • Review trending reports and Cases detecting manipulative trends or other issue
  • Compile and review required data from multiple sources in order to respond to Regulatory inquiries
  • Perform research and investigations regarding potential findings

Skills:

  • You will have previous relevant experience, with a strong understanding of financial markets, products, and processes
  • Surveillance, Audit, Front Office, and Regulatory experience a plus
  • Ability to manage/direct small team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and must be comfortable in presenting and explaining analysis
  • Must be detailed oriented, interested in the markets, current events, and financial news
  • Team player with great attitude and work ethic and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task on several different assignments/projects, works well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong research, investigation, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously, and within team
  • Flexibility and ability to multi-task and change directions based on business demands
