Role Profile
My client, a well-established manufacturing business, is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Shift Manager to join their growing operation in the North West. The position will be accountable for the Manufacturing function across the night shift, as well as maintenance on the production lines, therefore electrical engineering experience (HNC / apprenticeship) is required.
The position will also have continual liaison with other departments such as Engineering, Planning, Quality Control and Warehouse.
Strong leadership skills are a vital attribute for the successful candidate and with accountability for a diverse, growing team, continued development and coaching is a critical part of the role.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience within a fast-paced manufacturing operation. You must be able to clearly demonstrate how you create a culture of engagement within your teams and be able to show clear examples of developing people.
Additionally, the below skills and experiences are essential;
- Apprenticeship and / or HND - Electrically bias engineering discipline
- IOSH
- IT Literate - Experience in Microsoft Office and SAP
- Awareness of HACCP
- Food Hygiene
- Ability to work across all levels of colleague and departments, continuously liaising with the senior team.
- Continuous Improvement experience across an FMCG distribution operation.
- Commercially focused, with clear achievements against budgets / KPI's.
