Role Profile
We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join a fast, growing operation based in Hull. The position is a key hire for the business managing the full warehouse operation on nights and a continued focus on growth, development and engagement across the business and through to customers. 

Responsibilities

  • The position is accountable for the continued growth and development of the warehouse function and the delivery of products OTIF, directly to customers and satellite distribution centres / depots.
  • Lead the pick and loading operation of temperature controlled and ambient goods.
  • Create a strong culture of engagement and leadership by spending time coaching, training and reviewing the teams.
  • Management of the inbound and outbound flow of products.
  • Ensure practices and processes are being used efficiently and proactively, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Lead the team on Health & Safety, Hygiene, MHE Compliance and ongoing training and best practices.
  • Ensure budgets remain on target and actively strive to improve on costs and KPIs
  • Continually liaise and work across departments to create a strong team environment.

About You
The ideal candidate will have worked within an FMCG environment leading a busy, high volume warehouse operation within either food distribution, food manufacturing or e-commerce.

In addition, it will be beneficial if you have the below experience;

  • Experience leading an operation and team up to and above 50 colleagues
  • Practical knowledge and experience in a DC/Logistics environment
  • FMCG and retail knowledge preferable
  • Track record of identifying operational improvements and influencing others to deliver change
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • The ability to build a strong sense of team ownership and maintain a high level of morale within the work force
  • Energy, enthusiasm, commitment and a can-do flexible attitude
  • Embraces change and challenge
