Role Profile
My client, a well established distribution business across the UK, is looking for an established IT Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Engineer to join their business. The role requires a candidate who is very familiar with network systems and internal infrastructures, being able to play a fundamental part in rolling out new hardware and streamlining the IT environment across the companies sites.
You will be heavily involved in the planning and design of the networks helping to increase the footprint throughout the organisation and additionally be the main point of contact for any IT related issues.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience within an IT management role which holds relevance to the industry and be a results driven team player who thrives in a fast paced environment.
Additionally, the below skills and experience are essential;
- Experience with networks (ie CCNA) and relevant qualifications.
- A sound understanding and experience managing Layer 2 & 3 Networks
- Project Management experience within an IT environment
- Knowledge of Firewalls, Routers and Cisco Switches as well as data link / network layer high availability and resiliency technologies
- A good understanding of OSI Model
