Role Profile
We are looking for a General Manager with strong people skills and an ability to lead varied distribution / transport operations to join a well-established, UK wide business who are experiencing a continued period of growth. The role is responsible for developing and managing the Operations Team, ensuring an efficient and cost effective business unit with full P&L accountability for four profit centres.
The role will be heavily focused on projects and working with contract operations, with a focus on compliance a key factor in the daily role. Additionally, being involved in the continued growth and development of new contracts and new routes in to market.
About You
The successful candidate will have;
- CPC National / International.
- Experience of managing transport operations for construction projects and / or plant hire operations is beneficial.
Strong commercial acumen with an entrepreneurial approach to running an operation. - Strong operational / business unit leadership.
- Fleet & Plant management experience an added benefit.
- Qualifications / experience complementary to HIAB/crane and projects.
