Role Profile
Our client, a well known distributor with sites UK Wide, are looking to appoint an experienced Head of Supply Chain & Logistics for their site based in the Sheffield region. You will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and compliant Supply Chain & function while maintaining best in class customer service. Additionally you will be responsible for successfully coaching and developing your colleagues throughout the operation via structured appraisals and development plans. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Work alongside the operational management team in order to create an in-depth understanding of capabilities and indentify any potential supply issues.
- Lead the planning and allocation of work using planning systems ensuring on time, in full delivery.
- Reviewing and improving productivity through effective provision of planning information.
- Cost effective utilisation of transportation methods and management of maintenance.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience within a multimodal logistics operation, being able to clearly demonstrate how you create a culture of engagement within your teams and be able to show clear examples of developing people.
Additionally, the below skills and experiences are essential;
- Continuous Improvement experience across an FMCG distribution operation.
- Commercially focused, with clear achievements against budgets / KPI's.
- Demonstrable ability to take the initiative and actively influence events whilst identifying opportunities.
- Identify areas of concern and be able to perform adequately under pressure, making controlled decisions and responses in challenging situations.
