So what do we expect of you, day to day?

Here’s a bit of a heads up: 

  • You will log and track issues reported by users
  • You will analyse and troubleshoot issues and take responsibility for ongoing incidents, owning problems through to implementation
  • You will propose and implement solutions to user problems and requirements
  • You will maintain and improve system documentation and user guides using departmental wikis
  • You will action urgent data requests and investigations
  • You will communicate with stakeholders to fine tune their requirements, negotiate and set mutually acceptable delivery schedules
  • You will create training materials and lead training sessions of users via web sessions and face-to-face
  • You will build relationships with colleagues across the globe to create a set of essential contacts
  • You will communicate effectively, both formally and informally
  • You will mentor and train other team members
  • You will maintain an awareness of current industry trends, products and techniques
  • You will identify and implement system and process improvements

 What we’re after…

  • A passion for Fintech, and in particular payments
  • Experience of developing and implementing multiple MicroStrategy projects
  • Strong analytical skills - the ability and determination to find the cause of problems and identify solutions
  • Strong communication skills – working with agile development teams with a variety of skills is a key aspect of the role
  • Experience of Hadoop technologies (Hive, Spark, Sqoop, pig, Hbase, Impala).
  • Experience of delivery using other reporting tools e.g. Tableau
