So what do we expect of you, day to day?
Here’s a bit of a heads up:
- You will log and track issues reported by users
- You will analyse and troubleshoot issues and take responsibility for ongoing incidents, owning problems through to implementation
- You will propose and implement solutions to user problems and requirements
- You will maintain and improve system documentation and user guides using departmental wikis
- You will action urgent data requests and investigations
- You will communicate with stakeholders to fine tune their requirements, negotiate and set mutually acceptable delivery schedules
- You will create training materials and lead training sessions of users via web sessions and face-to-face
- You will build relationships with colleagues across the globe to create a set of essential contacts
- You will communicate effectively, both formally and informally
- You will mentor and train other team members
- You will maintain an awareness of current industry trends, products and techniques
- You will identify and implement system and process improvements
What we’re after…
- A passion for Fintech, and in particular payments
- Experience of developing and implementing multiple MicroStrategy projects
- Strong analytical skills - the ability and determination to find the cause of problems and identify solutions
- Strong communication skills – working with agile development teams with a variety of skills is a key aspect of the role
- Experience of Hadoop technologies (Hive, Spark, Sqoop, pig, Hbase, Impala).
- Experience of delivery using other reporting tools e.g. Tableau
