Senior Financial Analyst (13394) Newark, California

RMS is seeking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance. This Senior Analyst will be responsible for financial/business analysis that includes financial modeling, preparation and consolidation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, support of the monthly close process, and ongoing operational and planning support.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models in support of the Quarterly and Annual forecasting process – including "what-if" scenario analysis. This includes headcount, expenses and capital for groups supported
  • Prepare and communicate monthly and quarterly financial reports – provide insightful analysis on variances and expense trends
  • Work closely with department managers to prepare quarterly and annual operating and capital forecasts
  • Work with business partners to identify appropriate metrics to track and evaluate business performance.
  • Work across departments to ensure that financial tools and processes are consistent with the overall objectives of the finance organization
  • Challenge the status quo – bring new process-oriented thinking to the table
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis on various projects as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or equivalent area
  • Experience in Corporate FP&A or providing decision support to a Business in a high-tech or software company
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to grasp complex concepts and ability to communicate internally with all stakeholders
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks/projects and priorities with the ability to escalate in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Superior Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP or Hyperion desired Position requires accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior management and cross functional department
