RMS is looking for an experienced product manager who is passionate about predictive, statistical and/or financial models and wants to build innovative software applications that the deliver the value of the analytics from these models to the market. As an Application Product Manager, you will join a growing team of product managers who define the analytic and transactional application modules of RMS" NextGen suite of applications. Your contributions will have a substantial impact on RMS" roadmaps for NextGen suite of capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Synthesize market requirements into detailed product requirements and functional specifications that define the analytic and transactional application modules, innovating and leveraging state-of-the-art business intelligence, data integration, information visualization, and analytics. Serve as customer advocate and develop into a subject matter expert in the catastrophe risk analytics domain, properly representing user requirements Throughout the software development lifecycle, guide UX design and development teams to deliver a high-quality, intuitive, and elegant user experience Develop a deep understanding of client needs, translating business needs into prioritized product requirements and own the application roadmap for the modules you will lead. Guide cross-functional teams made up of people from software development, QA, product management, modeling, and internal/external design panels through multi-release feature design and delivery. Guide and train senior support and consulting resources on application capabilities.
Requirements:
6+ years of experience in a product management, business analyst or consulting role, involving analytic application design in the predictive/financial modeling and/or analytics space. Experience with new product development and experience in all facets of the software development lifecycle Track record of collaboration with software development, QA and marketing teams to deliver successful, enterprise class commercial products Significant exposure to portfolio management within insurance or financial services a strong plus BA/BS degree required, MBA is a plus. Ability to travel (15-20%).
