Senior DevOps Engineer As a key member of the RMS Cloud Engineering team, the Senior DevOps Engineer will contribute to the evolution of the automation framework design and tool selection, as well as write code and tests, and continue to drive intelligence and efficiency into cloud operations. Our team is responsible for automating the entire stack of high performance, large scale, geographically dispersed resources throughout its lifecycle. We will have over 5000 cores and 2PB deployed this year with plans to significantly ramp capacity from there, and have an app stack that will challenge you and diversify your skills. If your goal is to program the cloud and your toolkit includes things like git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Chef, Ruby, RunDeck, Splunk, and Zenoss, you like to work with truly agile teams, you like to be around lots of data, you"re comfortable in Linux and Windows, and maybe you even dabble in machine learning or data mining, this is the job for you. Key Responsibilities Defining and delivering cloud agnostic IaaS and PaaS components to support in-house developed software and data models Streamlining the processes of getting things from code to production safely Operational automation to support autoscaling, sensor/effector style reactions, and more generally, autonomous cloud operations through self-analysis Participation in Kanban style development team Skills and Qualifications 3+ years experience in a DevOps role in a production cloud environment (preferably PaaS or SaaS) 3+ years experience in software development, preferably around infrastructure management 3+ years hands on experience with git, Jenkins/Hudson, Artifactory/Nexus, Chef, Ruby, bash, PowerShell 2+ years experience with one or cloud frameworks (primarily vCloud and AWS but OpenStack or CloudStack will be considered) 2+ years Linux and/or Windows administration Hands on with monitoring tools such as Zenoss and Splunk Hands on with SQL and NoSQL databases Hands on with firewalls, load balancers, DNS, web server security and other technologies such as caching, monitoring and performance tuning a plus Web UI and API development would be nice Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent analytical and organizational skills Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Innate leadership skills B.S.C.S or equivalent work experience Perks Catered lunch every Thursday Free hot/cold beverages and snacks Game room Workout facility, fitness classes and nearby hiking trails Bike lockers Interesting Friday afternoon presentations with beverages and food monthly EV chargers (coming March 2013) RMS: Did you know there"s a 5% chance that a hurricane will cause $60 billion of insured losses next year?
