About the Group
Production Operations organization works closely with multiple groups in concerted efforts to ensure our sites are fully operational 24 x 7. The Production Operations organization consists of the Operations Centers (Lockport & India), Service Reliability Engineers (SRE), Global Service Management (GSM) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).

Job Responsibilities/The Role/The Job

  • Ensure that all appropriate Business Continuity and recovery plans are developed and maintained for all critical business functions

  • Maintain and develop standard Business Continuity documentation

  • Assist with the planning and execution of risk assessments

  • Conduct post incident reviews and perform root cause analysis

  • Maintain and effect the operation and enhancement of technical recovery facilities, procedures and documentation in accordance with guidelines and standards

  • Ensure that Business Continuity processes, facilities and resources are in place and regularly tested and that their effectiveness remains subject to ongoing review and enhancement

  • Carry out service continuity testing and project management duties as necessary

  • Develop tools and systems to support management information

  • Identify, assess and drive ownership for any risks impacting service continuity

  • Maintain a set of continuity plan and recovery plans that support the overall Business Continuity plans of the organization

  • Complete regular business impact analysis exercises to ensure all continuity plans are maintained in line with changing business impacts and requirements

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and management exercises, particularly in conjunction with business & security management processes that manage services within agreed levels of business risk

  • Ensure appropriate continuity and recovery mechanisms are in place to meet or exceed agree business continuity targets

  • Assess impact of all changes on service continuity plans and recovery plans

  • Ensure proactive measures to improve availability of services are implemented

Minimum Job Qualifications (skills/knowledge/abilities required to qualify for the job)

  • In depth knowledge of threat/risk analysis procedures

  • Experience in the creation of technical and users documentation

  • Experience with distributed and complex networks (WAN/LAN, Internet/Intranet)

  • Knowledge and experience in preparing and delivering training materials;

  • Awareness of emerging technology trends and directions

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding Interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • A team player with a track record for consistently meeting deadlines

  • Ability to pull raw data and transform it into business terms in PPT format

  • Proven ability to interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining

  • Experience in designing, developing, implementing and maintaining business solutions.

  • Experience in working directly with Cross Functional Teams and Business Leaders to identify analytical requirements

  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures related to BCP Management

  • Advanced level of skills to lead and influence people and programs to add value cross functionally with proven ability to influence peers, cross-functional partners, management, and executive management

  • Ability to work through ambiguity and ask the right questions

  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, and/or other tools for data analytics is required

  • A self-starter and proactive leader who is willing to display initiative with common sense
