A well established and growing food manufacturing business based in Billingham are recruiting an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an elec bias to join their team.   

As the Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Responding to production machinery breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing faults.
• You will work closely with the engineering manager and production manager to ensure planned maintenance activities are carried out on time. 
• Using the CMMS system, you will ensure stock and spares are available and that stock is reordered when needed.
• You will be a proactive Maintenance Engineer who wants to be part of a team that drive a culture of continuous improvement.
• As well as planned and reactive maintenance you will be involved in machinery moves, modifications and installations.

I am really keen to see your CV if you are time served Maintenance Engineer and hold a minimum of a level 3 engineering qualification. You will be able to work from schematics and good sound knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as sensors, invertors and some PLC fault finding. Ideally you will have worked within an FMCG environment before and experience of upgrading production machinery as well as machine installations and have excellent technical knowledge.

This Maintenance Engineer role is a days and nights shift pattern, 4 on/6 off and salary is up to £40k depending on experience, advertised up to £41k to cover any additional paid overtime.
