Castle Engineering are recruiting for a Semi Skilled Engineering Technician to join a leading food manufacturer based in the Leeming Bar area of Northallerton. Successful Engineering Technicians will have some basic maintenance or engineering exposure, ideally gained from working in a manufacturing environment. This role would suit semi skilled operatives who are looking for a career in engineering where a fantastic training package is offered.
The successful Semi Skilled Technician will be responsible for:
- Carrying out planned and routine maintenance across the factory on a night shift.
- Stripping down and rebuilding machines making modifications where needed.
- Working alongside the Maintenance Team to ensure production machinery is running at optimum capacity.
- Attending machinery breakdowns on a night shift and supporting the team in diagnosing faults.
To be considered for this Semi-skilled Maintenance Engineer / Technician vacancy you will need the following experience:
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment carrying out very basic maintenance to machinery; greasing, lubrication, machine build etc
- Candidates who have also worked in a mechanical engineering role but have no qualifications would also be considered for this role.
Qualifications:
Ideally you will have studied an engineering qualification and have a level 1 NVQ or BTEC completed, however we would like to speak with candidates who have a natural aptitude for engineering and would like to further develop their career in this discipline.
