One of the UK's most iconic retailers and a real gem on the High Street and online are looking for an experienced HR professional to join their team.

This role covers has a high impact on the ER side of their HR structure.

Role Purpose

This role means you'll be primarily focused on our ER function and you'll be required to to head up our resourcing function, learning and development and staffing benefits. In order to make this work you'll need to work closely with our senior management team, you'll not only ensure we are legally compliant but enhance our brand reputation. We take pride in what we do and you'll be at the heart of a successful HR function.

Role Responsibilities

Has full responsibility Employee Relation policies, processes and documentation in line with business needs and employment laws. You'll be influential in the development of each category under the ER function.

You'll work closely with the senior leaders of the business to ensure we have a efficient business design that delivers the businesses key objectives.

Manage the development of the reward strategies for the business. This includes the being update date with the latest pay bandings, benchmarking information, competitive benefit packages and the annual pay review recommendation and processes

Ensuring HR is an integral part of our businesses development. Leads the development, launch and sustainment of appropriate employee relations policies and practices to effectively balance the needs of the business and employee welfare.

Develop and launch a modern performance management structure across the business, one that encourages development and success, reward and recognition.

Manage and use employment data to identify trends, issues and recommendations to the CEO and Leadership Team. Maximising engagement, productivity and driving down cost with good business awareness.

You'll need to be able to keep the HR team fully up to speed with any HR changes or updates that could effect their working practises.

Manage the provision of external legal, occupational health, colleague counselling and benchmarking support to protect the risks to the business, maximising value for money and service provision.

Take ownership of more senior ER related issues.

You'll be required to have flexibility travel across the UK when required, this will mean staying away from home occasionally.

TO be right for this opportunity

Previous experience of managing a successful and modern ER team.

Excellent project management skills from start to finish.

The ability to communicate at all levels and direct experience of working closely with director level stakeholders.

Previous experience of managing a reward and recognition function.

Minimum 5 years’ experience at HR Manager level or higher

CIPD qualified or equivalent
