Finance Manager

This sought-after role sits with one of Australia's most innovative leading service providers, partnering with a range of household name, international industrial businesses across multiple sites country-wide. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for leading a small team delivering first class finance stewardship for a key business unit whilst also providing input at a group level.



Key responsibilities:-

  • Delivery of the weekly and monthly financial results for the leadership team and Board including insightful analysis and commentary
  • Ownership and delivery of the annual budget process
  • Delivery of quarterly forecasting processes
  • Provide analysis and advice to the business to better enable understanding of complex issues, leading to robust decision-making processes across a range of commercial and technical issues
  • Preparation, review and delivery of year-end financial statements, meeting all statutory reporting obligations
  • Definition and implementation of the year-end reporting timetable, schedules and requirements
  • Ensure relevant governance is in place and adhered to both within finance and the broader business
  • Management of tax and other statutory returns
  • Identify and assist in the delivery of system and process improvement opportunities
  • Provide an energetic and mentoring style of management to the team

Key requirements:-

  • CA/CPA qualified, you trained at a Big 4/leading second tier firm or a large, complex commercial organisation
  • Excellent technical accounting capability
  • You possess strong commercial nous and a proven track record in partnering with stakeholders at an operational level
  • You will ideally bring a minimum of three years' experience in a similar role, or you may be a high achiever ready for the next step in your career
  • You are data and solutions driven, with a passion for process improvement and best practise within finance
