IT Support Specialist Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking an IT Support Specialist for an opportunity in Scottsdale, AZ. The IT Support Specialist position is responsible for assisting and supporting the IT department of one of our clients in various aspects of its day to day technical activities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and enjoy in assisting the department with hardware and software installation including but not limited to computers printers telephones. Assisting in trouble shooting software issues reported by users including but not limited to working with user to gather necessary information, training the user on proper use of the software or entering it into our bug tracking software. In addition, they will be responsible for engaging in skill enhancement training in the following areas:

• SQL Server database and ministration
• Network administration
• Windows server administration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide desktop, laptop, printer, hardware and software support.
• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming issues related to computer systems, software and hardware.
• Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
• Walk users through problem solving process
• Install, modify and repair computer hardware and software.
• Assist with enterprise network configuration and issues.
• Active Directory management (users, printers, email accounts).

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications or related field
• Demonstrate the ability to identify and solve complex problems independently and multi task in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Deadline driven with a sense of urgency.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

• Network and Security fundamentals
• Basic concept of Active Directory
• Some knowledge of IP phone systems
• Basic programming in JavaScript, C#
• Basic concepts of MS SQL databases, design, development and administration
