This opportunity will be considered contract to perm. with a right to hire after six months. The candidate must be physically located in the Seattle metro area or willing to self relocate.

INFORMATION SECURITY DIRECTOR

I. JOB SUMMARY
Were looking for an Information Security Director to be responsible for safeguarding systems and data within our infrastructure.
This includes working with the CIO, business managers and vendors to observe and monitor the security of websites, applications, computers and databases. IT is looking for a highly motivated Information Security Director to help secure its technology footprint.
The Information Security Director must keep current on antivirus software, firewalls, and other security systems. The director will establish company-wide security protocols and standards and ensure the vendors and business managers are aware of and adhere to those protocols and standards. The director also develops emergency procedures for handling security breaches, manage internal communication regarding system security updates and provide estimates of budgetary requirements for technical security upgrades.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports a trustworthy physical computing environment that protects customer data, intellectual property, people, and the critical infrastructure facilities in which they reside or operate. Achieves superior business results through outstanding vendor performance. Achieves continuous compliance with all security operations controls and objectives.
Researches, proposes, analyzes, designs, and delivers security frameworks that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies. Develops standards for technical and best practice procedures, templates and frameworks to support discovery, tool evaluation, testing, and integration.

REQUIRED:
BS/BA in Computer Science, MIS, IT or equivalent work related experience.
At least one of the following active certifications: CPP, PSP, CISA, CISM, CISSP or CFE.
7+ years executive leadership in information security policy, standards, architecture, technology and programs.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare or compliance-oriented industry is preferred.
