Site Engineer (Setting Out)
Start – Immediate - Permanent
Location - Birmingham
Salary - £35,000 - £50,000 per annum dependant on experience.
We have great opportunity an experienced Setting Out Site Engineer. Our client, a main contractor with a fantastic reputation, are looking to appoint a Site Engineer to work on Civils, Utilities and Water projects.
As Site Engineer, you will report to a Project Manager and Senior Engineer, and will be responsible for the following:
- Setting Out
- Maintaining line & level control
- Measurements & Calculations
- Interpretation of technical drawings
- Producing as-built and topographical surveys
- Providing technical assistance to the project team where required
- Coordinating the technical aspects of package handovers
- QA where required
- Checking the accuracy of sub-contractors work where required.
Skills & Experience
- Ideally you will be qualified to HNC level or above in an engineering or construction related subject, supported by 5+ years practical experience in the role of Site Engineer.
- Specifically, you should have experience working on Groundwork Packages or Civil Engineering projects.
Requirements
- CSCS Card (essential)
- Relevant Experience (essential)
- Live within a commutable distance to Birmingham
- Use of Total station and CAD
- Good general word skills
- Good communicator
- Experience with ground works / pipework
- Good understanding and experience of QA and working to systems
- Full driving licence
- Be prepared to periodically work away from home
