Role Overview

This Senior Credit Controller will be directly reporting to the National Credit Manager and will be responsible for the end to end process of credit management. You will be responsible for a multi-million dollar ledger and held accountable for the daily administration of existing and new accounts. As the Senior Credit Controller, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the customer enquiries and creating effective resolutions.

In your role, you will also provide verbal and written advice to customers and staff on credit issues. This role is primarily focused on achieving deliverables in a high paced environment to hone in your skills and knowledge. The successful Senior Credit Controller, will have demonstrated the ability to engage with leading clients and focus on delivering accordingly. Your ability to work under pressure in difficult situations and excellent communication skills will demonstrate your dedication in maintaining key stakeholders. The key success factor is your ability to effectively communicate, handle difficult situations and collaborate within a team.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for all debtor management, reporting to well as an array of accounts receivable duties. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for the following tasks and duties:

 

  • Ensure the assurance of company credit policies and procedures in line with given tasks
  • Managing multiple ledgers with a high volume of active accounts
  • Answer inquiries from customers and stakeholders
  • Handling rebates and claims
  • Reducing DSO
  • Managing collections calls and enquiries
  • Develop month end reporting schemes in accordance to company standards
  • Responsible for opening new accounts and updating customer data through internal systems
  • Bank allocations, credit limits, reconciliations, legal and risk management


Candidate Profile

As a Senior Credit Controller you will have demonstrated experience in the credit space for a minimum of 2-3 years. You will have also shown your ability to manage a large ledger with an array of active accounts in your roles. Your ability to effectively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders will allow you to succeed in the role. A successful candidate will have strong communication and good problem solving skills. Specifically candidates that are mandarin speaking will be highly regarded within the process. To succeed you must have an intermediate level understanding of Excel including Pivot and Vlookups. Therefore, exposure to large ERP systems will be desirable.
