RF Test and Design / Radar Systems - Engineer (14:BC-D10-022) Lexington, Massachusetts
Solidus is searching for an Engineer to help with the design, development and implementation of the microwave, RF, and analog circuitry required for radar programs and various test systems. Additional duties will include Instrumentation Signal Interface Standards Verification and electronics mentoring.
The successful candidate will join a group that works on air defense issues, in particular, air vehicle survivability, vulnerability of United States Air Force (USAF) aircraft to weapons systems, electronic countermeasures, and air surveillance for homeland defense. In support of these efforts the group operates two airborne testbeds and is developing several ground-based testbeds composed of state of the art instrumentation and sensors.
Requirements:
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- MS or PhD in relevant area
- 5 years (min.) relevant experience
- Experience with using common RF test equipment (e.g., signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes)
- Knowledge of and experience in designing linear, wide dynamic range RF receivers and waveform generation systems in VHF through Ka-bands
