Cyber Security Network Engineer Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Cyber Security Network Engineer for an opportunity in Fort Mill, SC. As a Cyber Security Network Engineer, you will lead, develop, and implement hardening standards across the client’s enterprise network. He or she must maintain documentation and hardening standards while working with cross functional teams to ensure applications function securely on the network. The Cyber Security Network Engineer is responsible for securing the company’s enterprise network at 700+ remote locations, primary and backup datacenters.

Responsibilities:

• Firewall configuration management and monitoring
• Network Transport – Layer 1-4 security design and configuration
• Wireless Network security design and configuration
• Follow and support change management policies and procedures
• Management and controls of remote access vpn
• Implementation and configuration of network hardening and security standards
• Analyze, troubleshoot and correct network security issues
• Management of Antispam and email filtering
• IPS / IDS design and configuration
• Network Security incident response
• Network DNS and URL filtering

Requirements:

• 3-5 years minimum experience in an IT security related field
• Understanding of NGFW configuration
• Ability to write clear procedural and technical documentation
• Experience troubleshooting layers 1-7
• Minimum 6 years IT networking experience
• Network Security experience in large (500+ site) networks
• Demonstrated understanding of information security concepts, standards, practices, including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion prevention and detection, TCP/IP and related protocols, device monitoring and log management and event monitoring/reporting
• Experience in LAN and WAN technologies, network design, network management etc.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, access control lists, firewalls, VPN, NAT and network traffic analysis.
• Strong understanding of the OSI Model Layers 1-7
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects
• Demonstrable analytical and technical aptitude with focus on identify and alleviating the root cause of the issue; solves the whole problem
• Proven ability to thrive and respond to frequent demands of multiple constituents, both internal and external, in a customer centric manner and high demand environment
• Demonstrated ability with packet analysis
