Data Analyst Data Lineage Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for a Data Analyst Data Lineage role.  Our client is seeking someone with specific experience in creating data dictionaries, taxonomies and ontologies for organizing and creating an enterprise data glossary is a must. The candidate will likely be assigned a data domain and expected to document and catalog the data for their respective domain. They will need to have excellent communication skills (both verbal and presentations) and the ability to interact with and influence executives. This newly created role requires expert level understanding of metadata management concepts, experience with enterprise data governance capabilities, services and tools, and an ability to lead and influence discussions across a wide spectrum of audiences.  The position will work closely with teams across the enterprise on metadata management initiatives, promoting understanding of enterprise standards and capabilities, and ensuring alignment with the enterprise data strategy and roadmap.

 Responsibilities:

• Builds and maintains relationships with internal clients to align their metadata practices with enterprise data governance policy, requirements, and capabilities
• Provides leadership to partners across the enterprise on data governance policy and framework in support of the design and implementation of metadata solutions
• Leads and designs communication, education, and evangelism around established metadata capture and maintenance practices
• Represents the DMSS team in partner work efforts, providing data management experience, including an understanding of concepts, practices, procedures, and tools – providing strong analytical, innovative and creative problem solving skills
• Coordinates with others across DMSS to ensure partner requirements are evaluated against enterprise product designs and implementation roadmaps
• May mentor and direct the work of more junior staff, including different levels of team members and contractors spread across multiple businesses and geographies

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
• 3+ years of data management experience including data modeling, data integrity and data quality
• 4+ years of data analysis experience
• 4+ years of Metadata experience
• 2+ years of Governance and Compliance experience
• 4+ years of experience leading stakeholder teams to design and develop strategies incorporating the use of data        

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience defining and/or developing business initiatives that require integration of multiple technology systems     
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding the financial services industry
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills 
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience in domain management, data dictionary and business glossary content
• Experience working with data governance tools (Collibra, Ab Initio, Informatica) and other data technologies
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and achieve results
• Data Lineage experience:  PDE level lineage, lineage harvesting recommendations and system level data flows
• Experience with the Enterprise Data Environment (EDE), and data lakes
• Understanding of EDG Policy implementation  
• Working knowledge of BCBS-239 principles and the G&O Framework
