Senior Accountant, Asset Management to $75K (F67048-KM) Boston, Massachusetts

We have an opportunity to join our client’s growing management company accounting team. The key responsibilities of this position will include ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and quarterly internal management reporting; assist in the preparation and issuance of various financial statements, including assisting in the coordination of the audit process; perform various accounting tasks and financial analysis; assist in the research and documentation of accounting position papers and accounting policies, as needed; provide support in the completion of regulatory reporting and assist in the monitoring of regulatory compliance across entities; support financial reporting and control-related special projects within Corporate Accounting; maintain technical knowledge in the applicable US and international accounting and reporting standards; and develop, document, and maintain processes and control procedures to support these various regulatory requirements including updating important process memos/risk assessments, filings, and financial reporting calendars. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of previous working experience with at least 3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and analysis; an undergraduate degree in accounting and a CPA (or CPA candidate) is required; experience in the public accounting and/or financial services industry is preferred. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks. This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented person who can be successful under tight deadlines.  The candidate should have excellent communication skills, interacting and collaborating, with all levels of counterparties both internal and external of the company, as well as strong Microsoft Office skills. Additionally, experience with Peoplesoft, or similar application, is preferred.
