Senior Accounting Consultant - Boston, MA

We are working with a client in the software industry looking to bring on board a Senior Accounting Consultant immediately. The company specializes in the proprietary SaaS applications space, and will be working closely with the Controller on a temporary basis whilst they conduct a permanent search. The candidate who starts on a temporary basis can also be considered for the permanent opening down the road if they are the right fit. Client is looking to move extremely quickly, and have someone start as soon as next week! Qualified candidates will have prior hands-on accounting experience within the software industry, and working knowledge of Quickbooks. 

Responsibilities: 

• Handle the complete month-end process, including maintaining the G/L, account reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, inter-company transactions
• Cash management and cash forecasting 
• Prepare and maintain US GAAP accounting policies
• Handle revenue recognition process
