Accounting Manager - Waltham, MA
We are working with a pharmaceutical firm in the Waltham are looking to hire a Accounting Manager. This person would be hired on a temp-to-perm basis to replace someone who recently gave notice (due to the commute).
The best candidate for this role would be a hands-on Accounting Manager, Controller, or even Senior Accountant. This person will have a staff of 3 reporting into them and be responsible for all the general ledger functions as well as budgeting. Please see below for expanded details.
Expectations:
- Monthly general ledger functions
- Financial statement preparation
- Budgeting and variance analysis
- Monthly accruals
- Payroll related journal entries
- Reconciling the general ledger
- Oversee the A/P and A/R staff
- Project analysis as needed
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 5+ years of experience
- Strong communicator- verbal and written communication
- Ability to work in a face-paced environment and be very hands on
- Sharp Excel skills
