NPI Assembly Engineer (1699) West Midlands, England
RMS – Resource Management Solutions are currently recruiting an NPI Assembly Engineer on behalf of our client, dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of metal automotive components in the West Midlands
A TEMPORARY 6month position, this is an exciting opportunity to join a company who devotes a great effort to research and develop cutting-edge technologies
Working Hours are: 39hrs per week – Day shift

Role Overview: The role will involve working in a fast paced production environment
Day to Day duties will include, but are not limited to:
- To support assembly feasibility, process layout definition & tooling fixture design
- Complete Pre & Final buy off’s at supplier
- Create & monitor timing against project milestones
- Support with industrial engineers model cell implementation including TMP instructions, shim logs, layout defined, 5s Equipment in place, correct lighting documentation
- Support PPAP project requirements , including creation of BOM’s process flows, PFMEA’s
- Communication & Presentations, directly with customers and internal Statistical analysis of measurements
- Providing timing for quality milestones
- Escalate issues
To be considered this position you must:
- Have experience within NPI Projects for OEM’s
- HNC in manufacturing or engineering
- Engineering apprenticeship as a Toolmaker or equivalent
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards change
- Results driven
- The ability to lead cross functional team members
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of BIW / Chassis / Structural Assemblies
