Senior .Net Developer/Architect (8387BR) Westwood, Massachusetts

Architect, design and build internally developed applications that will support our retirement plan business. Contribute to the definition, design and development of new systems/applications across all tiers (database to user interfaces). Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Design/Setup Responsibilities • Design – Responsible for creating the initial Design (and documenting). • Initial Project Setup – Responsible to create the initial Visual Studio & TFS solution/projects • Initial Build Environment – Creation and setup of check-in rules and automated build environment. • Update/Maintain Sharepoint – Where applicable, create SharePoint landing pages for development changes/updates Development Responsibilities • Work with the Project Coordinator and provide detailed tasks and estimates • Track all technical development within their component and perform periodic impact analysis. • Lead/Own the code review process. • Mentor Sr. Developers/Developers on coding standards, best practices, patterns, etc… • Implement/Code some of the most complex (and/or critical) pieces of their component.

• 7 + years professional experience developing complex, n-tier applications • 5 + years working with C# and considered an expert or highly proficient with this. • 4 + years designing and implementing .NET 4.0 and above solutions • Proven record of success with problem solving, demonstrated by an ability to debug and troubleshoot complex software orchestrations and identify solution options and alternatives • Must be well versed in the following (all assumed to be .NET 4.0 or greater): o Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) o Entity Framework 4 o HTML5 o Rules Engine (3rd Party product or BizTalk’s BRE) • Strong knowledge of OOD and SOA design principles • Hands-on experience using various service design patterns o Commanding, dependency injection, service adapters, etc… o Must be able to explain how/when to use and provide working examples to follow. • Experience using Visual Studio 2010, .Net, C#, ADO.Net, ASP.Net, HTML, XML, XSL • Good understanding of Agile SDLC methodology best practices. • Experience with web services, SOAP or related technologies • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a distributed team Desirable skills: • Financial services application development experience • Other object oriented programming language experience
