Java Developer Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for a Java Developer with Hadoop to join our client’s high performance agile team.  This a contract position located in the Boca Raton area. In this role the candidate will be responsible for the development and integration of new or existing applications into the technical infrastructure and existing business processes. The developer will provide technical or functional guidance to team members as needed within a specific discipline. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on an on-going basis with other team members
  • Work on an agile team and collaborate on an on-going basis with other team members
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains and/or enhances existing or new systems that are reliable and efficient

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of and experience in developing applications in the Hadoop ecosystem
  • Strong analytical skills, a passion for learning/building new products and features, and strong teamwork selected
  • 6+ years of hands-on Java experience
  • 1+ years hands-on Scala experience
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in Hadoop programming
  • Core Skills: Scala Kafka HBase Spark Spark Streaming Hive Sqoop. Restful Web Services/Micro Services development, NoSQL databases such as Mongo DB Familiarity with Apache Zeppelin and machine learning will be a plus.
  • Good knowledge in back-end programming, specifically Java, JavaScript, Node.js and OOAD
