Web Designer Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for a Web Designer to work on a contract position with one of our clients located in Miami, FL. Our client is seeking a Web Designer to develop cutting-edge websites, newsletters, and designs to enhance the end-user experience by delivering high-quality products using industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with various teams on content updates for all online managed websites.
  • Creates graphical elements used for all online managed websites and applications, such as banners, layouts, design, and icons.
  • Facilitates developing the styled layouts for all online managed websites, including the graphical conversion from Adobe Photoshop to HTML/PHP/CSS.
  • Keeps immersed in the latest web design trends and implements new ideas into ongoing projects.
  • Works with online clients to define business functions of website, and implement these requirements using cutting edge technologies.
  • Uses front-end optimization techniques to enhance the user experience
  • Ensures that all application design and styling is up to industry standards as well as in compliance with University and state regulations and/or practices
  • Works closely with the Marketing Team to track Marketing campaign leads captured through websites
  • Works with Google Analytics to track website statistics to view popular pages and improve user’s experience
  • Plans and designs email newsletters
  • Creates marketing email blasts targeting specific demographics for various campaigns.
  • Creates wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Establishes and promotes design guidelines, best practices and standards for websites
  • Manages the testing process, which includes devising test plans, creating test cases, establishing protocols and appropriate testing environments, and coordinating actual software testing
  • Manages and maintains third party applications and make recommendations to provide better user experiences and efficiencies

Qualifications:

  • Web Designer with basic knowledge of MySQL and how to use basic PHP to pull some data from a MySQL database
  • Built and implemented a website from scratch
  • Must have Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
  • Experience doing mock ups and HTML
  • Experience using Photoshop
  • Experience using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Techniques
  • Experience using Google Analytics
  • Must have a 4 year Degree from a real college
  • Need to show a great portfolio
  • Need good communications for this role because of future growth
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Studies, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or other related discipline and two (2) years related experience, OR and equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • Knowledge in Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). Knowledge of Photoshop and Web Graphics
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others. Ability to follow through and carry out assignments
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work with other team members. Ability to maintain a high level of professional integrity and meet deadlines
  • Computer programming and web authoring skills. Effective analytical skills
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Able to be on call 24 hour by 7 day for possible emergency situations.
