The University of Richmond is currently accepting applications for an Office Operations and Budget Coordinator position in the Office of Student Activities. This position will assist the Director of Student Activities with budgets, facilities management and student employment coordination.  The Office Operations and Budget Coordinator will also oversee office related and student organizations budgets and work collaboratively with departmental staff to develop, implement and maintain budget strategies; coordinate a comprehensive student employment program and oversee the management of facilities under the responsibility of the Office of Student Activities.

Job Responsibilities: 

·Manage all Student Activities bookkeeping and budget, activities including purchase orders, check requests, reconcile credit card statements, travel reimbursements and monitor and resolve budget discrepancies. 

·Works collaboratively with other departmental staff to develop, implement and maintain budget strategies and processes.

·Assist in periodic training programs for staff and student organization leaders to review departmental and university policies and procedures related to budgets.

·Prepare and present monthly and annual budget reports for all departmental budgets, including expenditure recommendations for upcoming fiscal year cycles .

·Serves as primary liaison with the Controller’s Office and the Office of Planning and Budget regarding all financial matters and departmental budgets. 

·Hires, schedules, trains and supervises all assigned student employees to assist full-time staff in Office to Student Activities.

·Oversee the operations of the Tyler Haynes Commons, The Web, Cottage Court and the weekly inspections of the Greek life facilities. Serve as the primary liaison to University Facilities and University Services. 

 

Qualifications:

                Knowledge, skills and ability

·Requires ability to use computer for word processing, e-mail, internet

·Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint preferred

·Banner experience preferred

·Finance experience preferred

·Facilities management experience preferred

                Education and experience

High school degree required, bachelor's degree in a business or related field preferred.

  • 2-3 years of customer service experience
  • 2-3 years of accounting/budget experience
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably with a college student population


Work Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, some flexibility required.

Salary Structure:
Pay Grade 5
