Job Description:

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an E-Business Consultant.


  • Provides e-business marketing, product management, and/or creative for small products or areas within larger product or e-business areas.

  • Participates in the establishment of e-business strategy based on assessment of competitive/customer environment.

  • Contributes to the development of e-business marketing/product positioning through one or more of the following: web design/content, pricing policies, strategic alliances, targeted promotions and communications.

  • Coordinates activities with other marketing/product areas, and other business units such as technology, legal, customer care; vendors, alliance partners, etc.

  • Works with higher level e-business consultants and managers as well as other organizational units in the development of e-business-related marketing programs.

  • May manage some vendor relationships.

  • Specify, prioritize and communicate high level and detailed product specifications using written specifications as Business Requirements, Use Cases, Functional Business Requirements, etc.

  • Manage initiatives (typically product enhancements) through execution, ensuring an optimal online experience that aligns with the CEO Channel strategy.

  • Implement product strategies and initiatives across cross functional teams.

  • Synthesizes product performance data, competitive analyses, and internal input from sales, operations and other support units to identify business opportunities.

  • Perform business case analysis in support of product enhancements.

  • Develop implementation roadmaps for prioritized, approved features and enhancements.

  • Manage tasks, issues, risks, cross project dependencies, etc.


  • 2+ year work experience in product management/product development/project management in banking/financial services with demonstrated project/product management experience or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Wholesale Internet Banking.

  • Excellent analytic and project management skills.

  • Strong learning agility, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Focus on execution and taking ownership for the delivery of measurable results.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a broad, audience, including enterprise partners.

  • Proven success working in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities while managing tactical and strategic deliverables.

  • Demonstrated facilitation skills, including ability to facilitate decision-making and broker agreements amongst diverse, differing, and/or conflicting perspectives/priorities.

  • Strategic thinker, detail and results oriented with excellent problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic and a highly motivated self-starter.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills including the ability to successfully interact across functions and at all levels of an organization.

  • Good business acumen with an orientation towards process, project and product management.

  • Must be a strong team player that is able to collaborate and influence multi-functional teams.

  • Able to add value, influence the business to transform/drive change.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously by prioritizing and completing work within deadlines.

Knowledge and experience:

  • Understanding of a commercial loan life cycle.

  • Understanding of building solutions for a global marketplace.

  • Exposure to AFS, Loan IQ or other loan SOR.

  • Data analysis skills (we will need to analyze data to support/prioritize some of the requirements).
