This Software Engineer IV role is a senior .NET technical position with responsibilities including designing and developing in ASP.Net, web services, and windows services, unit testing, code review, defect identification and resolution, managing and prioritizing workload to meet project deadlines. Involves working with development team under the general direction of an IT development manager, and working in a collaborative role with technology leads and architects to interpret and develop components from a project architectural design. Also involves working with business analysts to accurately interpret project business requirements and with project managers to ensure project tasks are accurately defined and delivered on time.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Design, code, unit and integration test, debug and document technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with technology leads and other architects to deliver effective software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot a variety of complex issues and identify solutions within broad applications and functional expertise.
  • Create appropriate documentation (process flows, class diagrams, technical specs) as directed by project technical leads.
  • Model practices that ensure business application systems are developed complying with architectural standards and established methodologies.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on project status, identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support product quality, performance and availability.
  • Trouble-shoot and resolve critical defect issues identified.
  • Mentor and assist less experienced staff.
  • Provide on call product support.


  • College degree in Computer Sciences, Software Development or related fields, with emphasis on Microsoft Visual Studio .Net, MS SQL and ASP.Net strongly preferred

  • Minimum five years' C# experience
  • In depth knowledge and work experience with:, C#, Web Services, XML, XSLT, and stored procedures
  • Good working knowledge on SVN and .Net 2.0, .Net 3.5 framework
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS) is definitely a plus, but not required
  • Experience in relational database design (primarily Microsoft SQL 2005, 2008)
  • Strong understanding of Object Oriented Application Design and patterns
  • Experience in dealing with interaction between host and web systems
  • Formal testing and software quality assurance experience including complete testing cycle
  • Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices
  • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
  • Previous experience in mortgage appraisal industry is helpful but not required
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills / English Skills
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to provide leadership in designing effective technical solutions
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to coordinate and work with teams and users in different geographical locations
  • Experience with property appraisal systems and appraisal ports such as RealEC and FNC is a plus, but not required
