Salesforce.com is seeking qualified and passionate candidates for the following unique opportunity.
The Sr. Manager, Strategic Events EMEA will assist with planning, development and execution of events in support of salesforce.com's growth objectives and strategic initiatives. This role focuses specifically on salesforce.com's flagship events across EMEA and leading industry events.
You will work closely with the existing events team in all countries across EMEA as well as internal marketing teams (e.g. Product Marketing, Press & Analyst Relations, Creative and Web). The position is responsible for program and budget management, meeting facilitation and internal communication, vendor management, analysis and reporting of program initiatives.
We are looking for an experienced rock star event professional who is excited by the challenge of delivering large scale innovative programs.
Execute a wide scope of corporate strategic event marketing programs to meet targets for sales segments, product lines and corporate goals
Understand salesforce.com's brand and product positioning with the ability to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging
Manage multiple, complex timetables successfully in a collaborative extremely fast paced environment
Manage external relationships (agencies, vendors) and work with cross-functional internal teams; creative services, interactive, marketing ops, which support direct efforts and collaborate closely to develop and successfully execute programs
Research and report creative event options, off-site venues, and entertainment based on program format and budget
Provide onsite event support, registration management and other duties assigned by director of group as necessary
Manage and contribute towards creative problem solving
Create pre-event planning decks and post event summary decks for all stakeholders
10+ years successful event management experience planning large, complex events (product launches, conferences, executive programs and trade shows), preferably in a B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment.
Proven effectiveness in contract negotiations
Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to creatively negotiate demands
Results-oriented, customer driven, organized with attention to detail
Ability to assess and prioritize workload in a strict deadline oriented environment
Thrive on teamwork and overcoming obstacles.
Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to proactively address client's needs
Solid understanding of event technology
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
