Role Description
IT Support Specialist
(3-month contract)

Key Responsibilities:
1) Acquire, install and maintain servers, PCs, PDA, printers and its software. Troubleshoot problems and provide resolutions. Monitor the servers’ logs and tune the servers’ performance.

2) Maintain the inventory of servers, PCs, PDA, Printers, Phones, network equipment, IP addresses and its software, accessories (CDWriter and etc) and licences.

3) Configure the applications servers to the backup operation. Monitor backup log and provide resolution of backup and recovery problems. Manage the offsite tapes.

4) Manage file security, set up remote access and manage virus-related issues. Liaise with CIT to create, update and delete network and email ids.

5) Install the application client software.

6) Acquire, install and maintain network equipment (routers, switches, and ports). Troubleshoot the network problems and provide resolutions. Monitor the servers’ logs and tune the network performance.

7) Work with users to implement technical solutions to meet new user requirements in the area of PCs.

Educational Requirements:
Diploma in Computer Science or a technical discipline with substantial computer technology or programming experience.

Experience Required:
Two to five years of working experience with servers and PCs support.
