Job Summary

The Inside Sales Associate is a pivotal member of the Sales team. S/he has the mission to support the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and Director of Sales with the internal activities required throughout the Sales cycle, as well as with the administration of the Sales Rep force, reporting, and compliance to export regulations. The Inside Sales person acts on behalf of the traveling or remotely located RSM. This may take the form of attending and presenting at tactical and strategic meetings. At times, internal projects covering the needs of the department may be assigned to the Inside Sales person.

Primary Responsibilities

• Internal liaison between Sales and the teams from other departments involved at the different stages of the Sales cycle.

• Support the RSM and the Sales representative in the preparation of marketing and Sales data for customer visits or promotional events such as ECS days.

• Follow closely the quote process in direct contact with the Customer Service team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of the response and closure of sale.

• Work directly with Customer Service, Quality and Production Planning teams to make sure that any quality or delivery issue is addressed promptly and the highest level of customer satisfaction is maintained.

• Maintains an active directory of past proposal activities and proposals in work.

• Works with Cost Estimating to schedule and obtain cost and pricing information, and conducts pricing review meeting with decision makers.

• Support the RSM and Director of Sales with the administration of Sales Rep agreements, commission payments, export training and broker registration updates.

• Take on special assignment for the department such as the coordination of a Sales meeting or Sales Rep training.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements

• AS or BS degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering or Business.

• Minimum of 2 years of proven success in Customer Service, Internal Sales, Marketing or Engineering, preferably in the manufacture of avionics systems or electro-mechanical components.

• Experience in dealing with multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrated success in building strong interpersonal relationships.
