The Pricing Deal Desk Senior Manager will be the strategic lead responsible for creating and optimizing innovative deal structures and business terms for the company’s business in eastern North America. Working closely with executive management, the candidate will define and implement cross-functional selling and negotiation best practices for our largest and most complex deals. The Senior Manager will also drive transformative process and technology change around pricing to help scale our deal desk function internally and take the company to $10+ billion.

The candidate must have a solid grasp on value based pricing and contract negotiation and be able to work independently to drive strategic initiatives to completion. This key role will work cross-functionally across numerous departments within Salesforce.com and will play an integral part in maintaining company-wide transparency in deal structuring.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative deal structures and educate the global strategic and enterprise sales team on our latest product bundles and offerings
  • Review highly complex deals on behalf of management
  • Create sales enablement materials to train sales teams on best practices for product pricing and positioning
  • Work closely with Finance, Legal and Operations department to optimize process for complex enterprise deals
  • Engage with Product Management and Product Marketing teams to build knowledge of product set and roadmap and communicate information to Sales organization

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree required
  • 7+ years of pricing strategy, deal support or sales finance experience
  • Relevant pricing experience with demonstrated track record of success and advancement
  • Superior analytical background with strong problem-solving skills
  • Highly effective communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively to drive results
  • Capable of explaining concepts clearly and credibly across all levels of the organization

Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Advanced degree strongly preferred (i.e. MBA or equivalent experience)
