Outside Sales Representative – Temporary to Hire (A68515H-admin) Boston, Massachusetts

Salary: USD40000 - USD60000 per year

Small Boston entrepreneurial and hospitality client looking for an innovative and driven Sales Representative with an appetite for sales and interest in the food and beverage industry. This role is temporary to permanent, paying in the mid teens based on experience during the temporary period and would be projected to pay permanently between $40-60K plus 20% commission, plus 100% health insurance; these numbers are flexible based on relevant sales experience. The Sales Rep will report directly to the CEO/Creative Director and while also supporting a small, highly motivated team including a COO/Director of Marketing, Executive Editor, Designer, Insights Manager, and Events and Social Media Coordinator. The position duties include the sales of digital advertising inventory (display ads, e-newsletter placements, event sponsorships) for a “dot com” marketing outlet. Advertising opportunities include web and email display, custom web and email content integration, sponsored contests and giveaways, social media promotions, event sponsorships, and other custom integrated marketing products. The Sales Rep would be targeting customers and local and national businesses in the fine food and dining category through the management and service of existing advertiser relationships, cultivating existing sales leads while closing deals on the phone, while also growing the piling by prospecting new business through cold calling and relationship development. Desired Skills & Experience     Aggressive and proactive sales attitude with an outgoing and positive personality     Solid business communication skills both oral (on phone and in person) and written     Capable of working both independently and in a team environment     Minimum of three years’ full-time in the work force post-bachelor’s degree     Minimum of one year’s experience in full life cycle sales (cold call to closing)     Personal engagement with digital media (desktop, mobile, and social) required; online advertising or digital media experience preferred,     Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is a must; experience with SalesForce and DART for Publishers is desirable     Passion for the category (food and fine dining) and/or experience marketing to millennial women a definite plus
