Sales Director

Sales Director (Cal20) Calgary Region, Canada

Salary: CAD85000 - CAD95000 per annum

Sales Director Required in Calgary

Our client, one of Canada's largest IT Solutions providers are currently seeking a Sales Director to grow their Calgary branch. The successful candidate must have a solid track record in sales or sales management in the IT or a related industry.

This role will develop sales activities and business development within the Calgary region. Strong leadership is a must together with superior and effective communication skills which will benefit the organization in providing solutions and productivity to align with their success. In this role you will provide value to every customer interaction, encourage innovation while creating an environment that permits employees to succeed and maximize their potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Provide guidance to Account Managers in preparation of proposals and presentations
  • Create and conduct of proposal presentations and RFP responses
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricing strategies, activity reports and sales
  • Conduct on-on-one review's with all Account Managers to ensure effective communication, training and development
  • Provide insight sales activity performance
  • Leverage CRM tool to record and manage customer interaction information
  • Develop the business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company profitability

Requirements for this Role:

  • Solid track record in sales or sales management in the IT or related industry
  • Significant experience (minimum 5 years) with the sale of technology solutions to large, complex organizations in the regional market
  • Previous experience working with IT partners in strategic long term relationships
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent working experience
  • Established customer relationships in the Financial Post 500 corporations including large to mid market firms and Public Sector organizations
  • Ability to manage, lead, inspire and develop sales force and provide guidance and mentoring
  • Polished communicator equipped to build substantive business relationships at senior levels
  • Ability to foster innovation and push beyond the obvious
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Leadership profile to command the respect of staff, partners and customers
  • Ability to create compelling solutions that satisfy customer business outcomes that are differentiated to position the organization as the desired or preferred partner and solution provider
  • Collaboration and teamwork in the execution of all assignments, roles and responsibilities
  • Engage key vendors to develop joint account and market development opportunities leading to new solutions and revenue sources
  • Ability to link and apply IT technologies to identify and target business outcomes for existing customers and new prospects
  • Effective questioning, probing and listening that informs and leads to implementable actions and activities leading to a successful sales cycle
  • Constantly refresh your insight, knowledge and understanding of IT technology within the industry

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in a relevant program of study
  • Additional professional courses/certifications, accreditation's are a definite asset
  • Over 10 years of IT industry solution selling experience
  • Proven track record of over achievement of assigned financial goals
  • List of executive contacts ("C", VP and Director level) and relationships from prior sales with references therefrom are a definite asset
  • Strong Linked In profile
  • Impeccable references from relevant sources
