We are seeking an individual to fill the role of Operations Manager who will be responsible for providing leadership and direction regarding distribution operations. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of employees engaged in receiving, storing, selecting and delivering bakery products in a cost effective manner.

We are looking for an energetic, customer-oriented individual to be part of our Calgary Distribution Centre Team.  The Warehouse Manager will report directly to the General Manager.

The Primary Responsibilities are:

• Manage the operational activities of the distribution operations including warehouse facilities and equipment and recommends changes in allocation of space, equipment and shipping procedures
• Manage the procurement and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment
• Respond to iinquiries on types of services offered, rates, schedules and areas which are serviced
• Investigate customer's complaints involving matters such as damaged items, driver performance and delay in shipments
• Ensure implementation of all company safety programs at all levels of distribution operations and proper sanitation practices are in place to make certain appropriate A.I.B. / CFIA / IFS standards are maintained
• Manage the expenses in the warehouse and the delivery department, including assisting with the Operating Budget process

Must Have:

• Minimum 2 years experience in a warehouse / distribution leadership role
• Experience spearheading safety requirements
• Customs documentation experience
• Warehouse management system and other computer system experience
