About the company
I'm currently working with a recognised medium-sized contractor looking to expand both their North West & Yorkshire offices. They're looking for a Site Engineer for a variety of sites in the North West.
The company is rapidly developing and offering a complete construction service that incorporates projects from £500K – £10m in Design and Build, New Build, Fit-out and Refurbishment in all of the following sectors:
- Health care
- Education
- Leisure
- Commercial
- Retail
- Industrial
- Residential
- Listed Building
About the role
The following duties and experience are essential for this role:
- Working on foundations, structures, drainage and general groundworks combined with an overall understanding of good practice
- Strong lean toward maintaining excellent health and safety, at all times
- Setting out and levelling, using current technology/surveying equipment
- Undertake initial site surveys and boundary checks, including existing level surveys
- Quantifying reduce level digs for disposal and or cut and fill works
- Supervision of contractors including such trades as groundworkers and steel erectors etc.
- Compile and annotate detailed site records for future reference such as “As-Builts”
- Take responsibility for site supervision at the initial stage of a contract and on occasion provide holiday cover
What you need
- Previous experience with a solid construction background is required
