Linux Systems Engineer – DevOps, OpenStack, KVM
Birmingham - £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits
Linux Systems Engineer with knowledge of enterprise Linux systems, DevOps principles, cloud hosted virtual platforms and enterprise scale networking sought by a leading SaaS technology provider.
As a Linux Systems Engineer you will be part of the team responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the company’s core server systems and networking infrastructure which supports their growing client base – using OpenStack, KVM, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Linux, IP Networking, Firewalling, Routing / Switching and managing their Data Centre.
The successful Linux Systems Engineer should be familiar with:
- Linux – Systems Configuration and Administration
- Virtualised Environments – OpenStack, KVM
- Configuration management using Chef, Puppet etc.
- IP Networking and Routing – Enterprise scale
- Security - Firewalls
- Database Administration – MySQL, Amazon’s Aurora
- Shell Scripting – Python, Perl, JavaScript, BASH
