AV Support Technician

AV Support Technician Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for an AV Support Technician with 5 years of processional IT experience. In this role the candidate will provide Audio/Visual technical support and service restoration for daily operations and project efforts in a complex environment. They will collaborate with team members and customers and contribute to the efforts to develop, implement and continuously improve systems. 80% of this role involves incident and request management and 20% is project/initiative responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, diagnose and resolve issues of high risk and complexity
• Lead and coordinate resolution across Technical Support Services departmental groups where multiple end-user associates have been impacted
• Plan and prepare hardware/software installations and upgrades
• Recognize opportunities for system or procedure improvements and make recommendations
• Provide technical advice and training to others (peers and customers)
• Handle activities of high risk and complexity
• Act as a resource or assist others on difficult technical problems
• Manage multiple issues concurrently
• Business Site potential responsibilities include collaboration with 3^rd party/client providers of software, hardware or service
• May require on-call availability and working during non-business hours. Overtime may be required
• Maintain inventory in inventory tracking system
• Follow established process and procedures to accomplish tasks
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers
• Utilize analytical and communication skills in the development and modification of written procedures, processes and technical knowledgebase
• Coordinate efforts of small teams (Including UAT)
• Disaster recovery process definition
• Represent department in meetings, taking notes and accounting for action items
• Account for and escalate technical issues or constraints

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 5 years of professional IT experience
• 3 years of experience in external facing customer support environment

In-depth Knowledge of:

• Cisco
• Polycom
• VOIP
• Video conferencing codecs and technologies
• A/V peripheral devices such as audio, sound reinforcement, microphones and speakers, projector systems and SmartBoards.
• Enterprise Experience with multi-site conferencing
• Lync and Skype conferencing and integration
• Managing, administrating, and holding large, multi-site video conferences
