IT Platform Support Technician

Job Description:

IT Platform Support Technician Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for an IT Platform Support Technician.  In this role the candidate will be responsible to provide users with a high quality support service. The candidate will provide support and assistance with the applications, hardware and software; implementation of IT projects, management of IT resources, maintenance of servers, printers, security system, network, Wi-Fi, telephone and multimedia. They will also provide support for the backup of critical IT systems, air conditioning and electrical. He/she will be responsible for overseeing compliance with IT policies and enterprise security.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide users with a high quality support service (equipment repair, installation of enterprise applications and applications support, provide training for users: new systems, versions or applications, among others). Identifies, researches, and resolves technical and functional problems to end users platform (Office Systems). Maintain statistics on end user support
  • Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots end users IT platform according to Corporate standard
  • Management of network accounts, ShoreTel, Corporate phones Lines, Printers and Purchases
  • Support, configuration and maintenance of the multimedia system and meeting rooms
  • Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots workstation platform including hardware, operating systems, service applications, utilities, etc., following corporate standards
  • Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots business applications and services in conjunction with corporate IT Business application staff
  • Conduct technical evaluations, develop recommendations and coordinate the process of delivery, preparation, and implementation of new IT solutions (equipment, software and services, including servers, workstations, and networking
  • Participate in the implementation of Corporate Information Technology projects

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Technology and related certifications
  • 3-5 years IT technical support experience
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Strong Mac knowledge experience (Hardware and Software)
  • Strong hardware and Microsoft applications experience (Win 7/8/10, Office 2010/2013/365)
  • Experience with polycom video conferences
  • Network administration skills
  • Windows Server administration skills (2008/2012)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Preferred Skills/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • ITIL certification
  • Knowledge: Cisco, Brocade, Call manager and switches
  • Fluency in Portuguese
  • Exchange 2013
