Affymetrix is looking for someone with a strong multi-disciplined skill set which will continue to enable the growth of the company. In this role you will evaluate programs, keeps abreast of trends, advances and/or new technology, and make recommendations for changes and improvements. You will conduct management and employee meetings as needed to ensure appropriate communications concerning benefits and compensation matters.

 

You will be responsible for maintaining complete and accurate compensation and benefits files and records; and maintain awareness of federal, state, and local laws and regulations in order to ensure company compliance regarding taxes, reporting, and privacy issues. You will assist with the development of the compensation portal of the HRIS systems to ensure the integrity of HR databases.

Related to Compensation

  • Participate in compensation surveys and ensure competitive pay practices are maintained.
  • Responsibilities encompass base pay, incentive pay, equity compensation, sales compensation and variable pay programs.
  • Coordinate analysis, appropriate revision, and administration of company base rate and variable compensation programs and systems.
  • Evaluate new and revised positions and establish position range, title, and FLSA status. Work with managers to develop or revise positions as needed.
  • Provide salary recommendations for promotions, increases, transfers, and new hires.
  • Review compensation of all salaried employees and recommend market adjustments as appropriate.
  • Maintain corporate job descriptions and matrices including leveling criteria for all salaried employees.
  • Participate in salary surveys, review and analyze survey data, and recommend appropriate salary and geographical adjustments for all salaried positions.
  • Administer annual merit planning process for all salaried employees. Prepare materials for managers, calculate increases, and provide pay data to payroll for processing.
  • Review compensation practices and procedures and recommend enhancements to ensure the effectiveness of the compensation program.
  • Administer and manage corporate bonus program including calculations, quarterly audit and annual payment process.
  • Support preparation of Compensation Committee materials through models and other analysis.
  • Partner with HRIS in support of compensation administration.

Related to Benefits

  • Participate in the ongoing benefits strategy assessment, development, and implementation.
  • Administer annual renewal for US based plans and programs. Including communication with employees and managers on plan changes. Partner with finance and payroll for implementation of changes.
  • Provide research, expertise, and ongoing evaluation of all benefits programs and vendor effectiveness to assess cost savings, process improvements, and legal requirements to remain competitive and in compliance with all health and welfare programs.
  • In partnership with broker, management and maintain all benefit plan documents.
  • Maintain, review, and assess periodic reports and performance standards for all vendors.
  • Develop annual benefits cost analysis to be presented to senior management for ongoing benefit plan interpretation.
  • Manage Leave of Absence programs including vendor management of third party vendors and internally partner with payroll for implementation of leaves and leave practices.
  • Manage annual compliance activities (testing, 5500, HIPAA, etc.)
