Technical Design Coordinator

Technical Design Coordinator (894000) Cradley Heath, England

Salary: GBP21000 - GBP24000 per annum

An extremely exciting opportunity has become available to join a very reputable company in the local who are looking for a Technical Design Coordinator. Your main responsibilities will be to provide technical support for customers and our own sales teams, across our full range of products. You will be required to produce layout drawings and scheduling what materials will be required based on information submitted by customers in order to comply with relevant design standards.

 

Job Duties

  • Gain a full technical understanding of the companies products
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and our own sales teams
  • Produce quotations from customers enquiries based on relevant design standards
  • Produce accurate layout drawings using AutoCad and Solid Works to industry standard
  • Keep up to date with all relevant design standards & design manuals
  • Attend site if required to provide technical assistance or to take measurements for quotations
  • Ensuring a full understanding of competitor activity and strengths and weaknesses
  • Responding to queries via phone and email
  • Any other duties as required by The General Manager

 

Education and Experience

  • Degree educated advantageous.
  • Experience in CAD – 3D essential, Solidworks proficiency preferable. Appreciation and understanding of 2D systems such as AutoCAD beneficial.
  • Experience and understanding of architects’ drawings
  • Must be computer literate and have a practical working knowledge of MRP Systems, Word, Excel Outlook and Access desirable.
  • Full UK Driving License

  • Numerate, analytical with good attention to detail.
  • A strong communicator with good verbal and written skills.
  • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and achieve targets.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team but will also be able to work on his or her own initiative.
