This client designs and manufactures electro-mechanical machinery and solutions that serve a wide range of markets and applications.
The Role
To support product development projects we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer, this position will provide mechanical design expertise to new products and test equipment from concept through to volume production. Products are developed, manufactured, assembled and tested on site, providing a stimulating engineering environment. You will join a strong Mechanical Design function and operate as a member of a small multi-disciplinary Business Line and Project team. The role demands self motivation, dedication and excellent communication skills.
Personal Specification:
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
- Proven experience designing electro-mechanical machinery.
- Experience designing assemblies would be advantageous.
- At least 2 years experience working with Solid Edge ideally but other software packages are considered.
- A good understanding of modern manufacturing processes, materials and design for manufacture to tight tolerances.
- An Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
