Transcriptionist (1968) Tempe, Arizona
This full-time position will provide transcription primarily for our anatomic pathology department. This position is based out of our main lab in Tempe. It will telecommute remotely but candidates MUST be local to the Phoenix area for departmental training and meeting purposes.
This position will work primarily M-F but will involve weekend coverage on a rotational basis.
Candidates with previous anatomic pathology transcription experience will be given first preference.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position transcribes dictation of surgical pathology reports, correspondence and autopsies in order to document patient care and facilitate delivery of healthcare services. Ensures reports are completed and submitted to pathology in a timely manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Typing skills of 70 WPM. Minimum of two years experience as a medical transcriptionist; prefer two years experience in Pathology. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Excellent written and oral communication skills including English usage, grammar and punctuation. Ability to understand diverse accents and dialects and varying dictation styles. Excellent listening skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
