The Sr Marketing Analyst provides high level support to the Marketing department in three main areas: (1) customer profiling and analysis; (2) economics, forecasting and variance analysis, and (3) marketing campaign analysis and reporting. In this capacity, the Sr. Marketing Analyst uses internal data to provide analysis of marketing campaigns, customer demographics, product usage, and overall performance to goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Customer Profiling and Analysis
-Researches and analyzes consumer behavior information to determine trends and identify opportunities for customer growth.
-Works with marketing managers and agency contacts, develops and delivers lists for all targeted marketing activity, including mail, email, outbound calling, and direct sales activities.
-Effectively tracks marketing campaigns, analyzes data and reports results of campaigns
-Builds and makes presentations on analysis and recommendations on projects.
-Manages and participates in the analysis of customer information available on the marketing database, providing customer profiles; upgrade and acquisition modeling and tracking of customer trends as required for business purposes.
-Perform statistical and qualitative analysis of data from data warehouse and other systems, and extracts and models appropriate data sets for customer segments and marketing campaigns.
-Prepares statistical reports that measure sales and marketing activities and efficiencies, and assists in developing marketing plans.
-Acts as liaison with Business Intelligence group to ensure that the needs of Marketing Department are being met for ad hoc report requests.
-Working independently and with Cox corporate marketing research partners, develops and implements statistical models that maximize marketing effectiveness, by means such as: market segmentation; purchase likelihood models; and calculations of lifetime value.
-Works directly with business managers to understand their data analysis needs; propose and implement solutions
-Prepares ad-hoc reporting, data extraction and analysis
-Analyzes and reports market performance to ensure optimal PSU growth and maximize revenue generation.
Economics, Forecasting and Variance Analysis
-Provides update and researches on Arizona and Las Vegas economic factors and changes.
-Supports management with annual budget preparation through analysis of product, acquisition and retention program performance.
-Prepares comprehensive projections of customer growth by major product lines.
-Prepares monthly analysis of variance to budget for customer growth.
-Reports on system performance of all Cox revenue generating services, as well as advanced and ancillary services.
-Determines format, compiles data, and arranges diversified material for presentation to various audiences.
-Provides support to product management team with ad hoc and reoccurring requests
Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent relevant experience. B.A./B.S. degree in marketing, business, economics, mathematics, or CIS preferred. Masters Degree desirable.
- Generally 5+ years applicable experience developing models of customer behavior. 2-5 years of experience working with relational databases, preferably SQL server including experience with data analysis, report development, business metrics, quantitative methods, statistics, analyzing business operations, business process improvement, forecasting, SQL, SAS, Excel, Access, VBA, and database design/development.
-1-2 years experience in analytical support/development and database mining preferred. -1-2 years experience working in the telecommunications industry.
-Experience with logistic regression, time series forecasting, cluster analysis, neural networks and other advanced statistical techniques preferred.
Other: Demonstrated ability to track, assess, and analyze customer performance is critical. SAS 9.1 Programming Proficiency. Knowledge of ICOMS preferred. Knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence. MS Office suite proficiency. Access programming experience preferred. Experience working with UNICA desirable.
