Rail Systems Manager
Duties:
Rail systems manager has to be a person with railway construction experience - the primary task is to ensure railway construction, commissioning and subsequent accreditation/certification. This role, as the name suggests, must ensure seamless integration of sub-systems. In addition, should we be considering any intermediate expansion of the system then we will benefit from having discipline specific rail systems engineer to check and approve design components.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility of all rail systems engineering, technical integration as well as testing and commissioning where required.
- Development of all project technical Plans and Procedures for Rail Systems.
- Ensure that all rail systems engineering objectives of the project are fully met to best international standards and practices.
- Ensure that all design and implementation activities are performed with highest safety and quality culture in mind and with the ""best"" industry practice.
- Be fully experienced with all international standards and requirements for developing design of a railway project.
- Responsible for the development of technical specifications / Employer's Requirements for Rail Systems.
Qualification: BSc in Electrical Engineering or similar and PE or Chartered Status from a professional Body.
Requirements:
- Experience of ERTM Level 2 and GSMR is essential.
- Experience of rail systems application to various modes of railway transportation.
- Experience of working on large, complex and multidisciplinary projects.
- Experience of interface management and total system integration.
- Excellent management and communication skills, strong leadership qualities.
Experience:
- Minimum 20 years’ experience in rail system engineering management / project management of large international multidisciplinary rail and transit projects
