Senior IT Manager, Systems Engineering - Singapore

Job Role

As the Senior IT manager for Systems Engineering you will work as part of lean IT team, running a shared service model, managing Vendors in global infrastructure transformation. Where you will design the engineering specifications, and able to implement all required systems to support the business needs.

You will come with practical experience from cloud/XaaS environments, be an advocator on introducing new technologies and manage changes in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the development, design/engineering, installation, analysis, and on-going improvement of the information technology infrastructure.
• Lead the IT infrastructure team, be responsible for engineering and administration of servers, databases, storage, and system administration (Identity Management, Antivirus Management…).
• Manage vendors for the design, maintenance, development and evaluation of all infrastructure systems and areas. Work closely with external partners on support and operations.
•Provide infrastructure project management and ensuring the projects delivery are aligned to business objectives, timeline, and budget.
• Project a long-term technology roadmap for Global Infrastructure. Conduct research on market analysis, compare the latest technologies and solutions, and shortlist the ideal vendors for delivery.
• Manage Global IT Assets including software and hardware within Infrastructure areas. This includes full lifecycle management of IT equipment.
• Interact with senior management and external groups for planning and budgeting purposes.

• Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of IT Infrastructure policies, procedures, and associated plans.

Essential experience and Requirements:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science & Engineering
• 7-12 years supporting large and complex computer system infrastructures in a regional or global role, for an MNC with 1000s of users
• Proficient in Windows, Linux and Unix platforms. With proven track record of engineering solutions on Windows and Linux server platforms.
• Experienced in Cloud based environment like AWS, Azure, AliCloud, etc is a must.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Identity Management
• Comprehensive knowledge of VMWare environment – vCenter, ESXi, and vROPs.
• Fluency in English language
• MCSE certification advantageous
• RHCE certification advantageous
